Rogoznica Gallery
The pretty village of Rogoznica occupies a sheltered bay in a quiet corner of the Dalmatian coast, between Trogir and Šibenik. The approach to the village from the main highway gives no hint of the delight to come. The historic old town, like so many Dalmatian settlements, occupies an islet which provided the mainland inhabitants a place to retreat from the Ottoman Turks. The mainland sea front has become an oasis of amazing villas and apartments, while the perfect natural harbour is home to luxury yachts as well as pleasure and fishing boats. But the tiny old town on the islet has retained unspoilt charm. As with Dubrovnik, Korčula, Trogir, Primošten and Rovinj, the natural protection the island once afforded from the danger of invasion now creates a barrier against modern development.HighlightRogoznica is a lovely place to spend a few hours relaxing in a quiet waterside konoba whilst watching the yachts and boats coming a going. It is a half hour drive from Apartment Beth
